Christmas Photos

Little Jaxon is Home

Jaxon came home from the hospital a few days before Christmas and is doing very well. Natalie and the boys are confined to the house now that RSV season has started and will be there for the next few months. This past weekend I was able to hold my nephew for the first time in almost two months. This precious little boy weighing a total 4 1/2 pounds is so small but quite the fighter. I have to say it was weird holding a baby again even more so a baby so small. I think Jaxon and the baby doll Chaia was given Christmas weighed the same and are the same size.

Here Comes Santa Clause

Last night we went to a Christmas Party and our favorite guest showed up. Everyone was happy to see Santa and sit on his lap, except for Chaia.

Zoo Lights

Last night we went ventured into the cold night to see the lights at Hogle Zoo. Despite the bitter cold we had a great time. I had heard from numerous people the animals are a hit or miss. They are active and fun to watch or sleeping. Unfortunately the majority of animals we saw were sleeping. It was a little disappointing but the lights were pretty. The zoo recently built a carousal, this was the highlight of the evening. Chaia had a minor melt down when it was time to get off the ride. This morning she has been talking about the elephant and the other animals she wanted to ride. I foresee us going back to the zoo again very soon to ride the carousal.

Instead of taking pictures and watching I should have encouraged the girls to stop what they were doing, right? Well... the continuous squealing and laughter was so fun to hear I couldn't help myself.

Thanks Mom

I would like to take a moment to thank my mom for all she does. With out fail if you ask her to do something she will. Even if she has spent all day taking care of Grandma, cleaning the house, watching one or all grandchildren or driving people around the valley. She doesn't think twice about it and just does it. So THANK YOU!!! Oh yeah, if it wasn't for my mom I wouldn't have my cute blog too. Love you Mom!

Thanksgiving

This year I hosted Thanksgiving at my house, can we say "CRAZY"! It was fun to have all the family together this year. I spent three days cooking and made an insane amount of food. Needless to say we have been eating leftovers since and have more to go in the fridge. I don't think I will be eating turkey again until next thanksgiving. A big Thank You to eveyone who brought food, ate and helped clean I really appreciate. It's funny everyone gathers around the television on Thanksgiving, I never thought in a million years we would all be playing Guitar Hero. It was fun! Love you all.

I know, I know I have been a slacker when it comes to blogging. Why is it that life seems to throw it at a you all at once?

PHEW! We are finally settled into our new house in Sandy. I am speaking for all of us when I say this but we LOVE it here. The neighborhood is so quite and the neighbor's are great. I love being close to the school, the girls can walk, ride, or bike everyday. Great exercise for them. What I love most about living here is the SPACE. The concept of space such a great thing, we all have our own rooms, closets, storage etc. I forgot what it was like have my own room and not to share my baby. I love being able to lay in bed and read, watch television or just lay there. We have a huge yard where the trampoline resides and a great deck to lounge on or BBQ. In the basement I have all my hair equipment and a sink (YEAH!) no more cutting or washing in the kitchen.

The girls are doing well, Gentry and Gillian have met some nice children. Gillian, little miss popular has been invited to four birthday parties since school started. Gentry always seems to find the well mannered good kids, with very nice parents. Gillian is busy with dance, she is taking ballet and tap she is getting very good. We are also looking into gymnastics for her, she is quite flexible and I think she will be good at it too.

Last Saturday Gentry finished the fall outdoor soccer season, she played on an all girls team and played very well. We liked the all girls team it's much better than co-ed soccer. Gentry will be starting basketball in a few weeks, she has never played basketball so we will see how it turns out.

Chaia is getting bigger and bigger everyday. She is now is a big girl bed at my house and Adams, amazingly enough as busy as she is Chaia actually stays in the bed. She is so busy all day TALKING, puzzles, coloring, painting, sidewalk chalk, reading, playing with her babies or trains. Loves jumping on the trampoline or swing on the porch swing. I can't keep up with her and am completely exhausted. We have reached one huge milestone recently we are potty training. I can not believe how well she is doing (I knock on wood every time is say this). When she sits down on her potty down she goes to the bathroom every time, we just had our first poop yesterday. Very exciting!!!! We have not moved to big girl underwear yet but it's close. One step at a time, right?

Little Bella is not so little anymore she is such a sweet dog and is a good dog, but still a puppy. I must have been temporally insane when I decided to get a dog.

I have been on the computer long enough today it's back to trains with Chaia.

The New Addition to the Family

We have a new puppy named "Bella" she is a husky/lab mix. We don't officially have her until we move into the new house which will hopefully be next weekend. She is a very sweet dog and the girls love her. Chaia and her kisses!!!

Swim Lessons

Monday was the first day of swim lessons. It truely amazes me how well Gentry and Gillian swim, they get better and better everyday. The girls started taking lessons at a private pool when they were 2 1/2 and have continued to take there every summer. Chaia almost two now has started lessons, a little young but she seems to be okay with it. Chaia likes blowing bubbles in the water with her mouth. Her favorite part about swim lessons is her towel, it has "Barbie" on it. Have we created a monster already?

Boston here we come!

Gentry, Gillian and I left for Boston last Thursday. We came to stay with Adam's family Tony, Kim and Sybil down on the Cape. The end of June Adam ventured off alone with Chaia left Utah to go back east. Adam and Chaia stayed in New York for a few days with her Auntie La La and Uncle G then made their way to the Cape. During the time Chaia and I were apart she met many people and saw may things. When I talked to her on the phone she went into specific detail what she saw, ate, drank, who she played with. I couldn't understand much of what was said but it seemed to be very important. She also went to her first Red Sox game (well second if you count the game she saw when she was in the womb) YEAH!!! Sox kicked butt that game 18 to 4.

Our reunion was bitter sweet I haven't been away from Chaia for more than three days. Phew that was hard! She was so excited to see us, she was squealing with excitement. I've never seen her so happy to see her sissys'. Chaia changed so much in that little amount of time it was amazing. Her vocabulary increased dramatically. She's growing up.

The past week has been very nice and relaxing. We spent many days and hours at the beach. The Gentry and Gillian's favorite beach was Naucet beach the waves were the biggest at this particular beach. The weather was absolutely beautiful couldn't ask for more perfect time down here. We took the speed boat out on the ocean, saw harbor seals and watched the fishing boats unload their catch for the day. (interesting but very gross). We also took the tube out on the water and all of us took our turn even Chaia is was fun to see her reaction.

All in all it was a very nice vacation tomorrow we leave to go into the city and spend a week with Adam's mother Linda and her side of the family. Should be fun!!!
